BOTOX injections could stop blokes climaxing too quickly, sex experts say.
Researchers found the muscle-relaxing jabs helped rats last almost four-times longer on average.
And they believe the treatment will work just as well in fellas who struggle to control their excitement.
Premature ejaculation affects 4 per cent of men and is the most common sexual dysfunction in young lads.
Turkish scientists tested the power of Botox jabs – typically used to ease facial wrinkles – in 21 male rodents.
Some received a single dose of the toxin injected into a muscle near their privates and some received five doses.
A final control group was not injected.
The boffins, from Balikesir University, then stimulated the rats and timed how long it took them to peak.
'TREATMENT OPTIONS REMAIN LIMITED'
Those given a single dose lasted 1.5-times longer than the untreated group. And those given five doses lasted 3.7-times longer.
Study leader Dr Sakir Ongun said the effects of Botox can last up to nine months in humans.
He added: “Injection of botulinum-A toxin into the bulbospongiosus muscle in rats significantly delayed the ejaculation latency time.
“We suggest that botulinum-A toxin should be considered in the treatment of premature ejaculation.
“Although premature ejaculation is a common disease, treatment options remain limited.”
