COOL AS A CUCUMBER

Women are in stitches over M&S’s new Valentine’s Day ‘love cucumber’ asking if it’s for adults only

MARKS & Spencer have caused a stir after unveiling their ‘love cucumber’ ahead of Valentine’s Day.

First there was the ‘love sausage’, and now the department store has added to its range of ‘love’ shaped items with a cucumber.

So if you thought your cocktail, or even salad, needed spicing up this Friday, look no further than your local M&S.

The store teased a look at the ‘world first’ vegetable on Facebook, which has been specially grown in heart-shaped moulds.

The saucy vegetable has set tongues wagging online, as women found the romantically-shaped food hilarious.

M&S shared a snap of their exclusive veg, saying: “You’ve heard of the Love Sausage and now it’s time to try our Love Cucumber!

“The Love Cucumber is a VERY limited edition and is only in 94 of our biggest stores, so get it while you can!

“Who will you share your Love Cucumber with this Valentine’s Day?”

The store shared a snap of a large G&T garnished with green heart-shaped slices.

M&S added: "They are lovingly cultivated in a heart shaped mould for that perfect heart when sliced."

And in case you were wondering, they confirmed the love cucumber has the "same nutritional values" as a regular one.

Hundreds of people have commented on the post, jokingly demanding a ‘love cucumber’ on February 14.

One person said: “M&S you have THE BEST sense of humour. I love this idea!”

Another joked: “Get your love cucumber into my drink.”
