Mum creates stunning Christmas bow front door decoration for just over £10 using B&M and Home Bargains steals

ALTHOUGH we love nothing more than covering the inside of our homes in tinsel and baubles at this time of year, we have to admit - decorating the outside can be a total pain.

But while most of us simply stick a bogstandard wreath on the front door, one mum has upped her Christmas decoration game by creating a stunning light-up bow for the outside of her home.

And the best part is, she only spent just over a £10 using B&M and Home Bargains products.

Sharing a photo of her stunning creation on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the mum explained how she bought a light-up bow from B&M for just £9.99.

After securing two strips of silver 79p ribbon from Home Bargains onto the door, the mum then glued the oversized bow over where the ribbon crossed over to create a wrapped present effect.

She explained in the comments: "Underneath the ribbon at the top of the door is a wreath hook - I've made a slit in the ribbon for the hook to go through.

"Then at the top of the bow, they have a ring so I put some string through and hooked it on the wreath holder."

And in order not to cover the letterbox, the mum placed the ribbon slightly to the left and secured it with sticky tape.

The mum also claims the decoration will last six weeks after doing something similar last year.

What's more, the giant B&M bow also comes in red and champagne gold and contains 35 warm white LED lights.

Since sharing the photos on the group, the mum's post has racked up over 1,200 comments from users desperate to replicate it on their front doors.

One wrote: "That's sooooooo nice!"

Another gushed: "Looks fab and allows letterbox access, wonderful idea - thank you!"
