Rich Kids Go Skint teen rocks up to family’s terraced home in Rolls Royce then has a meltdown when he has to get the bus

A PAMPERED teen who has never caught the bus, almost had a meltdown on last night's episode of Rich Kids Go Skint when he was forced to take public transport.

Adil, who has a personal chauffeur, was forced to leave his Rolls Royce behind and catch the bus while staying with skint family, the Bennetts, in the 5Star show.

19-year-old Adil swapped his lavish lifestyle in Cheshire to stay with Daniel and Cheryl - and their three children - from Preston.

The multi-millionaire property tycoon is used to living the high life, with a fleet of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars as well as a security guard and 24/7 housekeeper.

"Everything is Versace - the sofas, the chairs, the tables, it's mum and dad's favourite brand so we thought, why not do the first house Versace?" He explained, while showing viewers around his huge Cheshire home.

And thanks to his luxurious, chauffeur-driven lifestyle, Adil has never caught the bus - but during his stay with the Bennetts, the teen gets a sharp reality check when he's forced to ditch his Rolls to travel by public transport.

During his stay, Daniel tells Adil they have to go into town to buy a present for his dad's birthday - and as the couple can't afford a car, they have to catch the bus.

"Stop!" Says Adil.

"How far is it?! OK, I can't do the bus. I've never been on a bus before.

"Personally, I would never get a bus I would rather pay extra and get a taxi."

But once the pair are safely onboard, Adil faces another hurdle.

"What does this button here do?" He asks, pointing to one of the square buttons.

"That tells the driver when to stop, so you press it and it makes a noise and they know to stop," explains Daniel.

"I don't think I'll ever use the bus again," says Adil.

But to the rich kid's dismay, Daniel reminded Adil that he would have to catch the bus at least once more - to travel back to the house.

Adil - who admitted he "doesn't know what benefits are" - ditched his lavish lifestyle to spend the week with Daniel, 26 and Cheryl, 25 along with their three daughters.

The couple live in a rented, three-bedroom house with unemployed Daniel losing his job last year.

"At the moment I'm unemployed, unfortunately I lost my job, I had a bit of a breakdown, it flips your world upside down," said the dad-of-three.

The family now have to keep a close eye on their budget, having around £450 to live on after paying their bills each month.

During the episode, Adil learns about the family's hardship and during the stay is tasked with feeding the family for a tenner.

"I'm very stressed because I don't mind going to the supermarket, but the responsibility of picking the ingredients, I've never done that before," he said.

And Adil has to make an emergency phone call to his mum to ask her advice on what ingredients to buy to make lentil dhal.

And although the teen ends up over the budget - paying the difference from his own pocket - he does manage to whip up a delicious Indian meal, as well as treating the kids to five packs of sweets between them.

At the end of the episode, Adil makes a sweet gesture to the kids - who love dancing - by booking them a trip to see a Dancing on Ice experience.

"I think this experience has taught us how much money you've got in the bank doesn't define who you are, it doesn't make you a bad person if you're rich, it doesn't make you a good person if you're not rich," said Daniel.

"I wanted to keep him," joked Cheryl.

Reflecting on his stay, Adil says: "They can't afford adventures, going to Dubai and such places, but they still try to put a smile on their kids' faces and it really touched me."
